INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (June 10, 2022) – Indiana Republican Party Chairman Kyle Hupfer released the following statement after Governor Eric Holcomb announced his selection of Judge Derek Molter to serve as the next member of the Indiana Supreme Court.
"I applaud Governor Holcomb on the selection of Judge Molter to sit on Indiana's highest court.
"Judge Molter has an impressive career built on service, leadership, innovative thinking, and respect for our Constitution.
"Hoosiers will be well served by his judicial philosophy, one that Governor Holcomb described as focused on 'original intent and judicial restraint' and that Judge Molter stated 'anchors the court to ensure that it is exercising its judicial role...the only role the judges are here to perform.'
"We are looking forward to Judge Molter officially becoming Justice Molter."
