IMPD officer to be recognized as Indiana's Top Cop

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — An Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officer is heading to Washington, D.C. to collect top honors. Fellow officers nominated Officer Greg Milburn for the Top Cops Award.

In May 2014, a suspect who killed a woman and her granddaughter shot Officer Milburn at a home on the city’s northeast side. Milburn returned fire, killing the suspect.
