Rep. Jackie Walorski honors WWII veteran

Maurice Mynsberge's been waiting a while for a few medals.

"It took a long to get them," Mynsberge said.

The 93-year-old South Bend man served 12 years in the U.S. Navy, many of which he sailed aboard the USS Dyson across the Pacific Ocean. Mynsberge began his military career as a fireman, first class. Less than three years later, he moved up to ranks to chief machinist mate (CMM).
