INDIANAPOLIS (June 1, 2015) - Indiana Republican Party Chairman Jeff Cardwell today named Carrie Petty, an Indianapolis businesswoman and philanthropist, as executive director.

"Carrie's tremendous passion for helping people, experience as an executive leader and long history of community involvement will be valuable assets to our team," Cardwell said. "State Party welcomes her fresh perspective and business-minded approach as we gear up for November's municipal elections and an exciting 2016."

Petty is vice president of Petty Custom Homes, which she and her husband, Chris, started in 1994. Most recently, she was the business development officer for City Mosaic Partnership - a nonprofit aiming to connect churches and communities to end poverty.

Petty previously served as chairman of the board of Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana from 2010 to 2012, and executive director of Hamilton County Habitat for Humanity from 2007 to 2009. Petty has more than 20 years of experience working in the public-private sector.

Carrie and her husband reside in Indianapolis with their two children Reily and Austin.
