At GOP gathering, Pence comes out swinging

INDIANAPOLIS – Gov. Mike Pence didn’t shy away from the controversy that has shaken his chances of re-election in a speech Thursday night. Instead, he practically spoiled for a fight.

“I’m ready to take on those who would misrepresent our record and trash our good state and people to advance their political agendas,” he told a group of 800 Republicans gathered at an Indianapolis banquet hall to hear his official 2016 bid.
