INDIANAPOLIS – Members of the Indiana Republican State Central Committee today elected Anne Hathaway, the 7th District Chair of the committee, to represent them and their fellow Hoosier Republicans on the Republican National Committee as Indiana’s National Committeewoman.
Hathaway, who is president and chief executive officer of Indianapolis-based Hathaway Strategies, previously served as chief of staff of the Republican National Committee, as assistant to the vice president and director of scheduling and public liaison to Vice President Dan Quayle, and is currently the executive director of the Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Service Series. Her selection as National Committeewoman comes following the September resignation of Marsha Coats, the wife of Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats.
Hathaway was recommended to the state committee for the role by Indiana Republican Party Chairman Kyle Hupfer, a recommendation that was supported by Governor Eric Holcomb.
“On behalf of the state committee, I congratulate Anne Hathaway and welcome her to the Republican National Committee membership,” said Chairman Hupfer. “As a trusted friend and adviser of Governor Eric Holcomb and proud supporter of President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence, I know she will be a valuable asset to the committee for years to come.”
Hathaway said, “I thank Governor Eric Holcomb and Chairman Kyle Hupfer for recommending me for the incredible honor of representing Indiana on the Republican National Committee. I have known Governor Holcomb for over twenty years, and in that time he has always been a people-focused leader committed to bettering the lives of Hoosiers, and that continues to show every day as our governor. I have also come to greatly respect Chairman Hupfer and his team for the work they are doing to lay the groundwork for historic victories for Indiana’s Party of Purpose in November.
“In this new role, I am particularly excited to help advocate for the tremendous work President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence are doing in our nation’s capital. From passing historic tax cuts, to cutting burdensome regulations, to installing on the Supreme Court a mainstream conservative justice, they are delivering on their promise to make America great again and I am proud to be part of the team,” she added.
