Governor Signs Bills Giving Schools, Teachers ISTEP Reprieve

(Indianapolis, Ind.) – Thanks to two new laws, teachers in Indiana won’t see less pay if their students failed last spring’s ISTEP+ test.

Governor Mike Pence signed two bills into law Thursday. They each protect teachers and schools from any negative effects of the state test for one year only. The two pieces of legislation are the first from the 2016 legislative session to become law.
